Starting from his interest in technology, Giovanni Fredi reflects on how the constant use of computers and digital devices changed people’s way of life and the ways in which man connects with nature, culture and traditions. To communicate these
constantly evolving relationships, the artist goes beyond photography, experimenting with its new forms of. His artistic works move between documentary photography and the aesthetics of selfie. He employs technologies such as augmented and virtual reality to build a new relationship between spirituality, tradition and digital, deepening the theme of techno-animism. His approach is an ethnographic one based on the observation of social behaviors.
